Details are found HERE . 7:15 pm: Program by Margaret Bryant - "Top Ten Dog Photography Tips" Margaret Bryant Margaret Bryant is an award-winning animal photographer with 21+ years of photographing animals in her studio. Her style is simple, original and authentic. Images that capture the humor and whimsy of her subjects are her favorites. She is a Professional Photographers of America Master of Photography, Photographic Craftsman, and CPP. She has also authored two books: Dog Photography: How to Capture the Love, Fun and Whimsy of Man's Best Friend and Who Rescued Whom: Dog Portraits and Rescue Stories . Margaret's work can be seen at bryantdogphotography.com and on Instagram ( @margaret_bryant2014 ). Whether you are a hobbyist or professional photographer you are bound to pick up some tips in Margaret's program "Top Ten Dog Photography Tips." Margaret has been photographing dogs for a while and knows a thing or two about them. These tips will help you get better photographs of your dogs. Don't be surprised if she throws in more than ten! Monthly Contest SUBMIT CONTEST IMAGE The theme for the February 2020 contest is "Down Time." For help in understanding the contest theme please review the Description of Contest Themes document (PDF). Entries must be uploaded to the PPC Competition Site before midnight February 20, 2020, the date of our next monthly meeting. Each club member may submit one image. The maximum dimensions for images submitted to the contest website are 4096 x 2160 pixels. Club Newsletter NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE The Club’s newsletter, The FLASH! , is published monthly and is available for download about a week prior to the club meetings. Each issue includes the results (and winning images) from the most recent monthly competition as well as photos from club activities. Now Available The February 2020 issue of the Plano Photography Club newsletter is now available for download . The FLASH contains valuable information about upcoming events and speakers, plus contest standings and feature articles. Hardcopies of the newsletter will be available at the next club meeting on February 20, 2020. Upcoming Activities Model Shoot and More (Saturday, February 29, 2020 - 10AM to 2PM) $15 Fee (cash or check) to be paid at the door of West Plano Presbyterian Church . Olympus Camera will serve as host and will be featuring two special guests - Charles Garcia and Becky Burleson. Charles, Olympus' Technical Sales Executive, will give you an introduction to the latest Olympus Technologies and conduct a model shoot with you. Becky, an accomplished model and photographer, will walk you through a "models' perspective" - the ins-and-outs of working with models. North Texas Irish Festival (March 6-8, 2020) The North Texas Irish Festival in Dallas' historic Fair Park continues to be one of the largest Irish Festivals in the United States and its organizers have been recognized throughout the world for their dedication to preserving traditional Celtic cultures and providing a quality venue for all types of Irish and Celtic performers. Visitors can enjoy concerts performed by local and guest artists from surrounding states, drummers groups, dance and music workshops, etc. NOTE: Event is for PPC Members only.
